Overview.

Welcome to my website.   The information presented is to provide a overview of Mr. Gustafson's exceptional performance for the ITS Group and its clients.  

Albert E. Gustafson currently serves as the CIO/CTO for the ITS Group, Inc.  He as worked for this multinational holding corporation for over 14 years in a variety of diverse and cross-functional areas. His vision, strategic planning and leadership has been significantly responsible for the Enterprise's rapid and sustained global expansion and growth.  

An illustration of a major contribution for the Enterprise occurred in 1992 when he envision the enormous potential of the internet.  He prepared the strategic business planning and persuaded the Enterprise to invest $5 M for this new business venture.  Under his leadership and execution of the plan the Enterprise's Internet Service Provider (ISP) acquired over 360,000 subscribers before it was sold off in 1996 for a value of $3,500 per subscriber.  The capital created for the Enterprise from this project was one of the largest it has generated.  The Enterprise's  IT consulting business division is another example of a new business opportunity that he was primarily responsible for creating.  Under his planning and leadership this start-up IT consulting division has grown over 5 years to generate over $330 million to the global Enterprise's bottom line. 

ITS Group is a global holding corporation. It has over 5,000 employees.  The Company provides telecommunications services (fiber optic SONET/ATM, wireless CDMA2000, and VoIP), MMDS television networks, information technology consulting and software application development, LMDS internet service provider (ISP). The Enterprise has a rapidly growing biotechnology business segment directed toward enhancing the immune system for health and well-being and commercial energy conservation products.

During his career with ITS Group he has held a variety of diverse positions with cross-functional technical and functional responsibilities.   He currently serves as CIO/CTO for the ITS Group inc multinational enterprise.  His leadership and management for over the entire enterprise global Information Technology (IT) has enabled it to reduce the Enterprise's operating expenses by more than 24%.  The IT consulting business segment that he started contributed more than $330 M to the Enterprise's global revenue.  His leadership over the pre-sales teams resulted in over $30 M of new business IT consulting engagements each year.

In addition to IT, he is responsible for network design, systems administration and telecommunications technical staff consisting of over 350 technical personnel.  Under his leadership the IT, television and telecommunications business segments have experienced rapid and sustained growth in global markets.  His hands-on leadership style has enabled the Enterprise to design and integrate business process through deployment of ERP, EAI, CRM, DW, DSS, Financial, SAN, Web Services, eBusiness and eCommerce systems. 

His vision and knowledge of IT has enabled the Enterprise to integrate its business processes through Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) packages across multiple business segments and divisions that comprise the global ITS Group Enterprise.  Moreover by utilization of EAI, Web Services and Storage Area Network (SAN) technologies, the Enterprise's global operating expenses have been reduced by more than 26% per year.

He has profit & loss responsibility and Program Management over the Enterprise and Client IT consulting engagement.  He has frequently served as the Principle Consultant with technical and functional responsibilities for deployment of ERP, CRM, EAI DW, DSS, SAN, Network Design projects.  The organization structures for the information technology and telecommunications infrastructure were created largely by him.  He is involved in development of new business in acquiring clients for IT consulting engagements.  His vision and insight into their needs often results in cross-selling and up-selling for the projects.  As a result he had contributed significantly toward the Enterprise's acquisition of over $30 M new business revenue each year.

His demonstrated performance displays in-depth expertise in design, development & deployment of Information Technology & telecommunications strategies, policies, business processes and integrated systems.  He has substantial experience in leading IT & telecom operations & administrative teams through all phases of large-scale technology rollout, including cost analysis, strategic planning, vendor selection & acquisitions. 

He has served in diverse areas with cross-functional responsibilities which has enabled him to gain extensive knowledge and experience of the Internet infrastructure, Intranet, eBusiness, Business-to-Business, e-Commerce, Portals, Web Services.
